A Mobile Realtime PVP Card Battler
Gambit was an innovative head-to-head card battler where summoners clashed using decks of minions and spells in real-time PvP combat. This R&D mobile game, codenamed Gambit, expanded the card battler genre by shifting from traditional turn-based combat to dynamic real-time battles. Although a change in studio direction led to the project's cancellation, we successfully launched Gambit on the iOS and Android app stores back in 2019.
As the team’s Graphic Designer, I created the branding and App Store imagery for game’s launch. I also designed mock-ups for marketing promotions, store ads, and a daily quest UI to support the live-service ecosystem.

Gambit began as an R&D codename and became our launch title after the project's cancellation. A complete brand identity package and style guide was planned, had the project continued development.

Gambit App Store Campaign | Repurposing character and content illustrations from the game, I composed the screens layouts, created the branding and typography treatments, made minor character and content paint-overs, and adjusted the lighting.
Player Engagement Mocks
I designed a reskinnable promotion for Gambit that offered hourly in-game freebies to drive player engagement during peak hours. Each reskin highlighted one of Gambit’s six factions, teasing lore and card types to immerse players in the game’s universe.

Gambit aimed to build a dynamic liveops ecosystem with hourly, daily, and weekly events. I conceptualized and mocked up reskinnable UI templates that could be dynamically populated for continuous in-game use.
